The Serenity shop only despatches goods to customers in the UK.
Postage Costs – Keeping them Low.
To keep your postage costs to a minimum we need to know 2 things:-
- How many item(s) you would like
- Where in the UK you would like the goods delivering
Once you have Added your item(s) in to your shopping basket, if you ‘Sign Up’ to create a Customer Profile (or sign in if you are an existing customer) we are able to establish your ‘Delivery Details’ and at this point we can calculate the minimum amount required to cover the postage.
Understanding where you would like the goods delivered and exactly what item(s) you are interested in keeps the costs down, especially if you are purchasing multiple items. Some areas of the UK are more expensive to ship to especially when using courier services Websites that don’t want to know where you would like your items delivered, inflate their postage costs to cover themselves for customers living in remote areas of the UK. Our intension is to make sure we don’t over charge you for postage.
Goods will not be despatched until full payment has been received. Royal Mail Items purchased are usually despatched the same day if purchased before 12.noon, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
We do not offer deliveries on Saturdays or offer Special Deliveries with time slots and are do not accept orders were ‘time is of the essence’.
Please note during the Coronavirus pandemic, both despatch times and delivery times are being affected, due to the high volumes of orders we are receiving. Royal Mail and the Courier companies are experiencing volumes similar to the Christmas seasonal period, with the added complication of staff members being off due to social distancing compliance, self isolation and child care obligations.
The item will be despatched using either Royal Mail, MyHermes, Parcel Force or UPS dependant upon the item selected and the mailing service chosen in the ‘Checkout’.
We will email you to let you know when your order has been despatched, which is usually within 2 days of purchase.
Large Items & Big Orders.
For orders of large items or big orders we use UPS and or Parcelforce. If the order is placed prior to 12 noon we usually arrange for the item to be collected the following day, this is dependant on availability and workloads. Courier companies will usually deliver within 48 hours of the collection. Please note once with the courier company we are no longer in control of the delivery of your goods.
If your parcel is late then in the first instance you may be best off contacting the courier first. We are happy to liaise with the company to find out if there is a problem and try to resolve it
Restrictions and Surcharges
Restrictions and surcharges will apply to items sent by courier to the following locations:-
- Scottish Highland and Islands
- Northern Ireland
- Isle of Man
- Isle of Wight
- Scilly Isles
- Channel Islands
Courier deliveries to all of these locations will have a surcharge added to the price, please ring us for a quote.
While we make every effort to deliver within these timescales it can sometimes take a bit longer on popular products while we source stock for you. In these instances we will keep you updated by email.
We will deliver the Goods, to the Delivery Location by the time or within the agreed period or, failing any agreement, without undue delay and, in any event, not more than 30 days after the day on which the Contract is entered into.
